Assignment 7 and Assignment 8 have been posted. The submit deadline of A7 is 8:00am, 20 March 2026, Friday, and the submit deadline of A8 is 8:00am, 27 March 2026, Friday.

Please note the different submit method with these two database application assignments from the sumbit method of previous assignments.

12 February 2026:

Assignment 5 and Assignment 6 have been posted. The submit deadline of A5 is 8:00am, 27 February 2026, Friday, and the submit deadline of A6 is 8:00am, 6 March 2026, Friday.

Both A5 and A6 are due after our midterm, which will take place from 10:00 to 11:20 in Building 210/Room 105, on February 26th, 2026, Thursday. But they are good practice for the midterm.

Welcome to CSCI 370, Database Management Systems.

Our first lecture starts at 10:00, Tuesday, 6 January 2026. The first lab will be held on
10:30 - 11:30, Tuesday, 13 January 2026 for Section S26N01, and
13:30 - 14:30, Thursday, 15 January 2026 for Section S26N02.

It is important for everyone who wants to remain in this class, regardless you are registered or waitlisted currently, to attend the first lecture due to VIU's No-Show policy. It is important for everyone registered to attend all lectures and labs anyway.
