In support of the safety and well-being of you and all other community members during this COVID-19 pandemic, you will have all lectures and labs of the course online using Zoom.
All lectures and labs will be held at the scheduled time.
Lectures are scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM for all sections.
Labs are scheduled on Wednesdays from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM for section S21N01.
Labs are scheduled on Wednesdays from 4:30 pM to 5:30 PM for section S21N02.
You will be able to attend both lectures and labs online from anywhere with a laptop and Internet connection. Online lectures and labs will be interactive to connect you with me and the other students in the class.
Online lectures and labs will be recorded and posted in VIULearn portal and you will be able to watch them at a time that best suits you.
Course outline (CSCI 331 Outline) and lecture slides (CSCI 331 Lectures) are available online in the course website. I encourage you to go through the slides before you attend online lectures.
Project (CSCI 331 Project) deliverables will be posted in time in VIULearn Assignments and in the project page (CSCI 331 Project).
Project delibverables will be discussed in online lab sessions.
Project design submissions and feedbacks will be electronic using VIULearn Assignments tool.
Project code submissions and feedbacks will be electronic using GIT repository system of CSCI department.
You will be able to use lab computers from home through Secured Shell (ssh) to complete and submit your lab assignments.
The exams of the course will be electronic, mostly using VIULearn Quiz Tool.
VIULearn course portal will be used to post announcements, discussions, and recorded lectures and labs.
VIULearn discussion board will be heavily used to promote further interactions.
As always, I will be available to provide additional support during regular office hours 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Mondays and Fridays, and through email.
Additional online meetings can also be arranged in special circumstances if regular office hours do not work.
May 29, 2020: Classes will start from January 07, 2021. Please, follow the announcements and discussions on the VIULearn outlet of the course. The rest of my announcements for this course will be on VIULearn outlet. This site will still remain active for the source of the main contents of the course but not for the announcements and discussions.
