CSCI 160: Scavenger Hunt (on Quiz October 22, 2021)
Go to Discord for CSCI-VIU
and hop into the channed for 160-2021-fall. Say hi! Then dm one of the help centre staff (you can just click on their name) and ask them for their code phrase. You will be asked for a staffperson's code phrase on the quiz. Do not share with any other 160 student!
Go to Building 315, Room 102. Look on the walls until you see a comic that
addresses binary, one's complement, and 2's complement representation.
What advice does the one-eyed snail-like creature give? You will be asked
this on the quiz. Do not share with another 160 student!
There is a mailer program you can use on your csci.viu.ca accounts (it's
not gmail, it's a very simple text-based mail program). To
find the name of this program, find Dave Wessels' tech notes on the
internet. Prof. Wessels teaches at VIU, he has tech notes on his web
page that are a boon to students at all levels. It is worth your while
to explore!
